MgO:LiNbO3 crystal
MgO-doped LiNbO3 (MgOCLN)
Compared with the LiNbO3 crystals, 5 mol% MgO doped LiNbO3 crystals behave the better optical performance. The laser induced damage threshold can be increased by two orders of magnitude, the optical absorption peak of OH- shifts to red to the3535 cm-1, UV absorption edge shifts to 310nm. The polarization flip voltage decreased from 21KV/mm to 6KV/mm and below. These variation expand the application of LN crystal infinitely.
